PUERTO 82
design research center

Puerto 82 was a design research center founded in 1997 by Emiliano Godoy, Luis Mercado, Emiliano Garcia and Francisco Guizar. It remained in operation until early 2001. The center worked in theoretical and practical research on construction techniques and formal aspects regarding industrial and architectural design. It also housed other projects and companies.

The center featured a cafeteria, a contemporary art exhibition area (curated by Jimena Acosta), a conference room, a library and office space.
