I developed a series of products inspired in the material’s biodegradability. The first one is an alternative to seeds paper or plastic packaging. I thought that it would be nice if the package could nurture the seeds, or at least biodegrade in the same soil that receives them. I incorporated the seeds in the mix, creating a solid block which was the product and the package at the same time. Similar to a chocolate bar, it can be broken into smaller pieces to be planted in different spots. I used a two part mold produced in the RP machine. An engraved flower was incorporated in the design, which thanks to this mold, was reproduced with great detail. |
