I also designed a sugar target, to be used in many shooting disciplines. Current targets are made with clay. Dust from broken targets contaminate the environment with polynuclear aromatic hydro-carbons, known carcinogens, and can cause skin, eye or lung irritation, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, increased possibility for sunburn, internal cancer and skin cancer. The sugar target, being completely biodegradable, would pose no environmental hazard. |
