MATERIALS RESEARCH
Currently available materials are sometimes not appropriate for a specific application, either because of environmental, manufacturing or functional reasons.
One clear example of this are disposable products made from long-lasting materials. A plastic cup is used for only a few minutes, but it will remain unchanged for hundreds, if not thousands of years.
This thought triggered one of my new-materials' research projects, called Sweet Disposable. The material was developed using sugar as it's main ingredient. It is 100% biodegradable and water soluble. On the right you see some applications of this project.
I can also help you identify new applications for your materials, such as the Weidmann project mentioned before, or opportunities for combinations with other materials that expand its inherent potential.
